Pet Poison Emergency

Call now if your pet has ingested something toxic:

ASPCA Poison Control: 888-426-4435Pet Poison Helpline: 855-764-7661

Both available 24/7. ASPCA charges $95 consultation fee.

5 immediate steps

  1. Stay calm. Remove your pet from whatever they ate.
  2. Identify what they ate. Save packaging, take a photo of the substance.
  3. Estimate the amount and time. How much? When? Be ready to tell the vet.
  4. Call a poison control line above or your vet — do this BEFORE inducing vomiting.
  5. Do NOT induce vomiting at home unless specifically told to. Some substances (caustics, sharp objects) cause more damage coming back up.
